Politics dominates the airwaves, the newspapers and even the net. Here in Australia we are three weeks away from a general election that has been brewing for 12 months. Bring on – get it over with – I don’t want to hear any more.
In the mean time, the US is having its 12 month election campaign – again – can we not get over it. The US election takes on just as much news time here as the Aussie one.
Idiots
On idiots – I don’t know who the idiot is who keeps leaving porno links in my comments sections – I am on to it – they don’t stay there for long – and I am about to install a pluggin to block his/her IP from inserting any more. Why do you bother – talk about stupid spam – has anyone else been hit by the peterpan spam attacker? Let me know if you have. And let me know how you got rid of him/her too.
Thats politics, thats idiotic spammers.
Visitors
On to happier notes. I am really pleased with the visitors I have been getting. Over 800 unique here (oh bring on the humble 1K) since I started using a counter and almost 500 on my other blog www.just4families.com – please visit if you haven’t before. Just need to find a better placement for my g**gle ads so that I can get some clicks going there. One other point on visitors. Does anyone use the Alexa toolbar and do you find your Alexa ranking of any use. I have noticed my ranking come down quite a bit over the last three months – from around 3million to 850k. In the last week it has dropped from 1.2million to850k. Just curious to other views on Alexa.
HELIUM
A gas I believe. And if you are full of it, as in gas bagging – or if you think you are a reasonably good writer and you would like to earn a dollar or two – give a Helium a visit. This is not a paid ad nor is it an affiliate link – www.helium.com – you can either write to order and get paid or just write and get paid according to activity and visitors. The better and more often you write, the more visitors, the more money.
One of the things I like about Helium is that you can write an article in your blog and then copy and paste it across to the Helium site. You cannot have a link in your article back to your blog but you can list your blog site(s) in your about you page. If your interested in writing and getting paid then visit Helium.

Reviews
Thanks to all who have taken the time to leave comments regarding the reviews. I am noticing comments from individuals who have not even been reviewed. Visitors are also checking out the review catalog and using it to visit other sites. I hope your site is getting one or two more visitors through these reviews. I don’t keep stats so I have no idea where the traffic is coming from or going to. If anyone has any ideas on how I can monitor the traffic I would love to hear from them.
