Australia Votes – Rudd Wins

By Les Scammell, November 24, 2007 11:57 am

Australia has voted – Howard is no more – Rudd is to become the next Prime Minister.

The vote to elect Australia’s next government has concluded with a comfortable win to the Kevin Rudd and the Australian Labor Party. The final vote could prove to be embarrassing for John Howard as he struggles to hold onto his own seat in parliament.

Having anounced his impending retirement half way through the next term, the people may have decided to bring his retirement forward by 12/18 months.

Hopefully now as a nation we can get the electoral crap of our tv’s and newspapers and get on with life.
