Look and Feel:

Nice earthy color theme with neat header image and rather large chunky tabs. Two columns, side bar to the left that is not overly cluttered. Attractive font style but the font size if far too small for my old eyes.

Content:

A nice mix of personal observations and environmental issues with the odd political shot. Nicely written pay per post articles included. The content is quite well written and both entertaining and informative.

Ease of Use:

You need to do a little digging to find either the RSS feed (very bottom of page or bottom of posts) or email subscription option (mid page). The posts have the usual assortment of tags. Page loads fairly quickly.

Suggestions:

My first suggestion is to move the subscription options to the top of the page so they are clearly accessible. My usual bugbear are the icons and banners in the sidebar. These need to either be grouped together taking into account size or centered within the sidebar for a cleaner look. The font size need to increased a couple of points for easier reading.

I am in two minds with the tabs at the top. You could possibly drop the ‘forward thinking’ from each which would make the tabs smaller. However for SEO benefit the full title is probably appropriate. If the page titles are changed the links will remain the same so I think you could get away with trimming the titles.

Conclusion:

This is a different site with some interesting content. The environmental posts are quite well written and informative. This is a nice site to visit for an entertaining read. – 8.5/10
