Look and Feel:
Three column business like site. The side bars are both on the right and totally uncluttered. Gentle blue header with same color in use in the links throughout the posts.
Content:
Well written informative posts on blog improvement including WordPress tips and SEO strategies. Also includes regular articles and links to other blogs that the writer has found interesting.
Ease of Use:
Site links below the header are always handy. Subscription services are conveniently located at the the top of the side bar. Post comments link under post title. The site is very easy to read and the side bars are uncluttered and easy to follow.
Suggestions:
I would suggest providing social bookmarking links at the end of each post. You just never know when someone wants to bookmark one of your posts. There are several plugins around that will do the job or look at socialmarker.com.
In your side bar I would suggest centering a lot of the icons. The right hand side bar needs some work with the top banners. See if you can insert the br command in between the banner codes to give a little ‘white’ space. The site in general is just a little to white – but that is just personal taste.
There is a lot of room in the side bars for other features. The side bars look quite naked. If you are looking for advertising then you could look at Rubicon as an option – you would have to judge revenue against any affects on page load speed. The alternative, if you have time, is to create graphical links to any special posts.
Conclusion:
I must confess I am already a regular reader of this blog – it often has good advice, information and of course the links to other blogs. It is well worth a subscription to his feed – I went with email subscription – to just keep up to date with the content. rating – 9/10
