Izea MIS-Ranks – perhaps I will feel better with free ad links

From my perspective it looks like another major program is heading the way of the trash can. According to Izea Ranks, I am averaging a whopping 2 unique viewers per day and only around 50 page views per day. I have several stat gathering techniques in place (I love my stats) and all of them show unique hits and page views significantly better that Izea.

I will grant it has only had five days testing but at this rate – if it is going to show the radical blogger at only two uniques per day – I don’t want to be a part of it. Is anyone else seeing strange results? Is anyone else subscribed to Izea. :(

To change the subject completely, the use of Entre Card has given me an idea. The idea, based in part from EntreCard but also on my blog review pages, is to put together a link page that displays either screen shots (at either 200×150 or 150×100 – I have not decided yet) or your EntreCard. I will also rotate the banners across the top of my contents page – where you see the banners now. I am not however giving the ad space away free.I am not charging $ either. There are several ways to get your site onto my banner page.sS

  • Subscribe to my posts through email
  • Favor me through Technorati
  • Stumble one of my articles (with a review)
  • Write a short article linking to one of my articles

You may also use one of the other social network sites to promote one of my posts. Email me or leave a comment when you have completed any of the above and I will arrange to add your sites screen shot. If you prefer, you can send me the EntreCard banner or a link to it and I will use that instead. I will eventually categorize the banners so please let me know your preferred category. Not to hard.

You can see the start of the banner page here or through the ‘free ads’ link in the navigation bar. Does it get you more traffic – my answer is yes. The banners you see above are now the number one exit point for visitors leaving this site. In other words, when a visitor leaves this site they are more likely to use one of those banners.

Blog reviews will be back on Saturday, don’t forget to nominate your site or some else’s site if you think they may appreciate it.

  1. I’m not signed up with Izea, but I have a lot of problems getting accurate stats through Feedburner. Though my Google Adsense doesn’t pay much, I can get a pretty good idea of how many page hits I get through their stats.

    I’ve had you favorited in Technorati for some time. I like seeing all the stuff you experiment with. Gives me good ideas for my site.

  3. I registered a couple days ago, but haven’t got the time to analyze it. It’s still “0″ the last time I checked :( .
