Not A Happy Radical Blogger
Today has been one of those days where nothing seemed to go right. I woke up this morning and as part of my usual morning routine, turned on the computer, plugged in the kettle and performed my usual morning routine.
Coffee in hand I sat down in front of my computer ready to start my day – you guessed it – computer had a tantrum and wouldn’t do its thing. After an hour of wrestling I finally decided to re-install windows. Now that is a pain in itself. An hour later I am finally ready to go – oh no – the computer still isn’t. Now the network wont connect. Two hours later, a lot less in the hair department, I finally get the network connected.
That is all fine. Now windows keep insisting I have to activate it – every time I try it has another attack of toddler tantrums. I guess it will be a manual telephone job tomorrow – if the computer doesn’t become an anchor before then. It is strange, now that I have finally restored it to some sense of normality, it still feels wrong – not my old PC.
If you would all like to brighten my day, how about a vote in the blog cup. I was behind by about 5 votes and then got out to a handy 30 vote lead but in the space of an hour I saw that lead wiped out and my opponent jump out to a 40 vote lead. Last I checked I was still about 30 votes behind. Let’s make a contest of it, if I am going to go down I want to go down fighting. Click here to vote and make my day.
Keep fighting, Les! From what I read, you should turn off your windows automatic updates through Control Panel. There has been several case regarding this matter from all my friends. You should be the fourth. And all of the solution is the same: reinstall windows.
