Pictures of Japanese Slaughter of Mother and Baby Minke Whale

By , February 7, 2008 8:46 pm

whalePictures of Japanese Slaughter of Mother and Baby Minke Whale. This is absolutely disgraceful. Every fishing region that I know of have specifications when it comes to what you can and cannot take. These specifications relate to size and gender and often the time of the year. Why? To protect the species. I do not know of any area that allows one to take a mother and baby – particularly when it is an endangered species.

I urge everyone to visit this site and view the photo gallery. Then voice your concerns in the loudest possible voice. For the Japanese to claim they are catching these animals in the name of research is beyond words. I for one feel this is totally disgraceful.

  1. You’re right! This IS horrible. I fish and I follow the rules. Everyone in every country should be concerned about this.

  2. That the Japanese think torturing a mother and her baby is scientific research is laughable. While I don’t have a problem with hunting for food, the majority of the world community want whaling stopped. Let them replenish their stock and then see how everyone feels.

    That’s disgraceful!

As if hunting whales isn’t heinous enough, the sicko whalers take it to a whole new level. This is so sad and upsetting. I am at least thankful that Oceanic Viking was there to capture this.

Yeah, though under the joke of research they do sell the whale meat. The problem is that most Japanese don’t eat it and it just sits in freezers. I really hope Australia gets even more aggressive in going after these monsters.

The entire “research” trip by the Japanese is a joke. The only thing they research is how to best serve the whale.

It is time to ACT against those persisting in the callous and unnecessary whaling industry.

My blog here http://bs1999bs.stumbleupon.com/public/ says it all – we need the courage of our convictions!

I’m totally shocked, devestated, heartbroken & destroyed with this, I feel sick to the stomach as this effects my entire life as it does many others, this type of CRUELTY NEEDS TO BE STOPPED NOW. These MONSTERS need to be stopped in thier tracks before they totally destroy our beautiful oceans of these beautiful creatures, all for what? F**king Greedy Bastards. Why don’t someone do something about it NOW instead of pussy footing around. This is disgracefull, unbearable & utterly upsetting.

  8. They should be sued for what they are doing. It’s very disgusting…
