Entre Card - A Radical Blog Review - Part I
Category: Blogging, General, ReviewsEntre Card - it has been an interesting experience. Please feel free to share yours. For those who are not in the loop at present - Entre Card is based on the old fashioned business cards. Each participating site has an Entre Card drop spot where you drop your card (actually its just a click - but same principle). The more people who drop on your site, the higher the value that is placed on it. The more cards you drop, the more credits you can earn. With the credits earned, you can buy advertising space on other participating sites. That is Entre Card in a nutshell.
What works:
Without a doubt Entre Card is increasing my visitor numbers. By how much? I will go into that a little later.
What doesn’t work:
Time. I simply do not have the time to run around dropping my card on other sites. I have a regular regime of sites that I do visit and of course I do drop my card when I visit. As I cannot drop earn a lot of credits by dropping, I have to get them in other ways. For me, I just went out and purchased them - I must say they are not exactly cheap. (by the way, if you have credits for sale, let me know).
My System:
Once I had purchased my credits, I decided to trial two different ways to get traffic. My first was to buy as many spots as possible on the new or newish sites. The cost to buy ad space was from 2 to 20 credits each. First day, I had my ad on 32 sites. The traffic from Entre Card for the day, approximately 50. That equates to not quite 2 clicks from each site. Some sites had zero clicks.
Options two. Target the more popular sites. Here I had to wait around eight days to get any action as the better sites were booked out. I placed my ad on seven of these top quality sites. Traffic for the day was just over 700 visitors - not all uniques - but 700 - that is 100 per ad.
The difference. Option one cost around 300 credits in total for 50 visitors. That is 6 credits per visitor. Option two cost around 2000 credits - approximately 3 credits per visitor.
The benefits:
With the increased traffic my daily clicks also increased to the point that at one stage it cost over 300 credits to advertise on my site - that is extra income. On balance, the more expensive sites are better value - but not all of them. I paid 300 credits to advertise on one site and only received 10 visitors. I paid 300 credits on another site and received over 200 visitors from that one ad.
Has Entre Card worked for you? If so, how? Tomorrow, in part II, I will reveal which sites have been great for traffic.

I haven’t really played around with the buying credits thing. The ones I have bought hasn’t brought me much traffic at all. So usually I just spend my money in the shop on ads…I can’t wait to see tomorrow’s entry on the ones that have got you the most clicks!
I was actually on the Entre Card site today watching the video trying to figure it out. I ran out of time and put it aside for later.
Is there an affiliate link where we sign up under you?
Nice post, it really helps me understand the concept,

To be honest lesca, I have not fully optimized EC. Just last week I learned how to power drop and that combining that with at least 10 purchased ads, increases my credit in my EC account. It increased my credit, however, I purchased ads on recently added. I had never purchased ads on the popular sites because I wasn’t sure of my ROI. However, after reading this post it may be worth it.
