  2. You know, you’re right. Thanks for the reminder. I think I get too caught up in worrying about keywords and search engines and all that sometimes, and I’m missing the point…I’m missing the enjoyment of blogging. Yeah, I would like to make a few extra dollars here and there (who wouldn’t?), but I’m not looking for my blog to be my business…so, I need to relax a little at times. Great post–a lot of us need this reminder, I think.

I do want to mention to you, though (and it seems somewhat contradictory to be talking about it in this particular comment), that I am glad that you blogged before about the Rubicon Project. I signed up with them, and I’m very glad I did. I was even having a problem one time, and someone from there actually called me instead of just emailing–great customer service. Thanks for blogging about them! Much better than just Adsense!

  3. I agree… and actually, with my dog blog, I type in collies in utah and I come up pretty quick. Or I did, last time I checked.

  4. I think you make some good points. The only thing anyone should be concerned out regarding blog SEO is if your post is consistent. A keyword is only key if it has something to do with your content. Write about what you want to write about and let the people (and the engines) decide. Google Marissa Miller. I didn’t know her name was spelled wrong when I made the page, but I am on the first page of Google for the term now. Why? Because that is what the page is about.

Write what you want – links to your stuff in the bodycopy of other people’s pages mean more than anything else anyway.

My two cents. Good post, man.

  5. If a girl puts her mind to it she can do much of this SEO stuff herself! I don’t like to pay these cheaters, but there is plenty of things that you can do to promote your own site.
Like comment on a very nice blog like this for instance. Thank you very much.

Come on over and see my new website. It’s all about the newest craze of losing weight with a new exercise pill!
