It seems there’s not a weekend that goes by that we don’t hear about another toddler being run over by a parent as they reverse their car. I’m sorry, but where is the other parent? The latest was a seven month old baby, not even a toddler.
While I feel for the parents and the children involved, I can’t help but feel that we, as a society, are failing to provide adequate supervision of our children. We now have to have very expensive pool fences, even for toddlers blow up wader. What next, child proof fences for driveways?
Perhaps a better idea is for people to actually take responsibility for parenting – and to actually supervise their children!
