My name is Les Scammell. I live in a little town called Gympie in SE Queensland Australia. I am the father of four wonderful little daughters who keep me busy most of the day.

For the last 20 odd years I have worked in the field of adult education, mainly in the areas of management, marketing, small business management, IT, personal development and for up until 12 months ago, I also worked as an employment placement officer. I am currently semi-retired from the work place. I am looking for some part time income and hope perhaps that one day the internet may provide that. In the mean time I have gone back to university to study web page design (bachelor IT (internet studies).

My main interests are my family, computing – particularly web page design which I am not too hot at, I will be the first to admit, but trial and error is the way to learn. I also like to read although I don’t have a favorite genre, my favorite authors are Gene Aule, Robert Jordan and John Grisham.
.
My favorite music is generally 60’s, 70s and some 80’s although I am quite strange when it comes to music. I like classical too. Not that that makes me strange. I cannot listen to one artist for hours on end. I like variety so my favorite cd’s are more the compilation types.

I am self opinionated. I will write on anything that grabs my attention and this stage of my life I don’t care who I offend. The internet is one of the last bastions of free speech and I intend to use it. I will not go out of my way to offend a particular individual – I generally fight for causes, not against individuals – they are often only the face of the cause.
